Surah Al Falaq

Surah Al Falaq is the 113th chapter of the Holy Qur’an, revealed in Makkah. It is a short but powerful Surah consisting of 5 verses. Known as one of the Mu’awwidhatayn (the two protective Surahs, along with Surah An Nas), this chapter focuses on seeking Allah’s protection from every kind of harm, whether seen or unseen.

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ، مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ، وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ، وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ، وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ


📖 English Translation

Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, from the evil of what He has created, from the evil of darkness when it settles, from the evil of those who blow on knots, and from the evil of an envier when he envies.


📚 Urdu Translation

کہہ دو! میں صبح کے رب کی پناہ مانگتا ہوں، ہر اس چیز کے شر سے جو اس نے پیدا کی، اندھیری رات کے شر سے جب وہ چھا جائے، جادوگرنیوں کے شر سے جو گرہوں پر پھونکتی ہیں، اور حاسد کے شر سے جب وہ حسد کرے۔

Surah Al Falaq holds a special position in Islam. It reminds us that true protection only comes from Allah ﷻ.
